+ When will my order be shipped?
We have just started our second phase of production. The Arc Hub is slated to start shipping in early 2017. The earlier you order, the earlier you will receive your Arc Hub.
+ Do you ship wordwide?
Yes, we offer international shipping for our customers overseas.
+ When will I be able to track my order?
As soon as your order is ready to be shipped, we will provide you with a tracking number.
+ Can I cancel my order after I have placed it?
Please visit the Contact Page and fill out the form under the Sales tab to have your order cancelled. You will need to provide your name, email, and order number in order to cancel the order. Please be advised that once your order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled and you will have to begin the return process in order to receive a refund.
Additionally, if you were a part of our Tier 1 Group (Orders made before January 10, 2017) and you cancelled your order but would like to re-order, we will allow you to place a new order (max of two additional Arc Hub's) with the original Tier 1 pricing. Simply fill out the form in the "Sales" tab and select "Tier 1 Promotion" as the reason for inquiry. This only applies to orders made before January 10, 2017.
+ Is the Arc Hub safe?
Yes, the Arc Hub is safe to use with the compatible devices above. Arc Hub is equipped with two safety protocols (two small circuit breakers) to prevent any damage to your computer. To put it simply, if you plug an external device that draws in too much power and either the Arc Hub or your computer cannot handle it, the Arc Hub will stop the flow of power and will not allow the device to work with your laptop.
+ Is the USB-C Cable safe?
Yes, the USB-C cable provided is safe to use for all USB-C laptops. We went to great lengths (searching for the right parts, the right manufacturer & long nights of testing) to ensure that the cable will not damage your computer.
+ Can I plug my external hard drive into Arc Hub?
Yes, the Arc Hub can be used with all external hard drives. Please note that only one external hard drive may be plugged in due to power restrictions.
+ Can I use the Arc Hub to connect my laptop to a projector or external monitor?
Yes, the Arc Hub is equipped with a Mini Display port so you can connect a VGA to MDP adapter to use with a projector or a MDP cable to use with an external monitor.
+ Can I use the Arc Hub to connect my 4K TV or Monitor?
Yes, the Arc Hub is equipped with an HDMI port that outputs 4K@30hz with a resolution of 3840 x 2160, and 1080p@60hz with a resolution of 1980 x 1080.
+ What is the resolution of the Mini Display Port?
The Arc Hub is equipped with a Mini Display port that outputs 4K@60hz with a resolution of 3840 x 2160.
+ Can I charge my laptop while it's plugged into Arc Hub?
Yes, the Arc Hub comes with a second USB-C port that can be used to charge your laptop or plug in an external USB-C device. Please note that the second USB-C port is for charging only and is not capable of data or video (Windows computers are excluded due to missing protocols in the laptop's software that allows Arc Hub to charge the laptop).
+ Is the Arc Hub compatible with Thunderbolt 3?
Yes, the USB-C port in the Arc Hub is compatible with the new Thunderbolt 3 as seen in the new 2016 Macbook Pro line.
+ What is the maximum wattage the Arc Hub can handle?
The maximum wattage the Arc Hub can handle is 85W. Anything beyond 90W will not be compatible with the Arc Hub.
+ Does the Arc Hub support simultaneous use of the Mini DisplayPort & HDMI?
Yes, the Arc Hub does support the use of both HDMI and Mini Display Port. There are some restrictions, depending on what brand of laptop you are using.
+ Does the Arc Hub support dual displays?
Yes, but there are some restrictions due to the fact that only a single USB-C port is connected at all times. We will be addressing this in an upcoming update.
